Course Overview

Mobius Institute VCAT II develops the skills to diagnose machinery faults using the correct data, analyzer settings and vibration analysis techniques.

Build on Category I with deeper coverage of signal processing, spectra, time waveforms, phase, bearing and gear analysis, resonance, alignment and balancing.

Registered students receive access to the Mobius Learning Zone for pre-study, course videos and post-course review.

Diagnose common faults

Use spectra, waveforms, phase and high-frequency techniques to identify machinery faults.

Collect the right data

Select sensors and analyzer settings that produce useful, repeatable measurements.

Validate your diagnosis

Use phase, bump and impact tests, alignment and balancing to confirm problems.
