Course Overview
VCAT-IV Part 2 is the five-day instructor-led classroom component that reinforces Part 1 and develops confidence with advanced Category IV calculations, examples and analysis techniques.

VCAT-IV Part 2 is the five-day instructor-led component of the Category IV training pathway.

Part 2 reinforces the advanced Category IV theory through instructor-led calculations, worked examples and discussion. Part 1 does not need to be completed before attending Part 2, but both training components must be completed before certification.

Reinforce Part 1 knowledge

Revisit advanced signal processing, time waveform analysis and cross-channel measurements with instructor guidance and detailed worked examples.

Work through advanced calculations

Strengthen your understanding of mass, stiffness, damping, natural frequencies, modes and machinery dynamics through discussion and calculations.

Prepare for Category IV certification

Review run-up and coast-down testing, impact testing, operating deflection shapes, modal analysis and resonance correction techniques.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
