Chris was appointed to lead the implementation of an advanced Condition Monitoring program at a cutting-edge facility in the Pilbara region, a significant Greenfield project. His responsibilities included the meticulous development of comprehensive databases for Lubrication, Vibration, Thermography, and Ultrasound. This task required a high level of precision and attention to detail to ensure that each database was tailored to meet the specific needs of the facility’s advanced systems.

In addition to database development, Chris was responsible for the strategic design and execution of route collections, which were essential for effective monitoring and analysis. His work involved planning and implementing detailed collection routes to gather critical data, which would support the facility’s condition monitoring efforts.

After successfully completing all three Emerson Training courses, Chris took on the challenging task of implementing the first MHM database, which he meticulously configured from the ground up. This significant achievement marked a major milestone, as it resulted in one of only three databases accurately configured across the mining sites in Western Australia.

Notably, while two of these databases were developed by an external vendor, Chris independently constructed the third, showcasing his exceptional expertise and commitment to excellence in database configuration. This accomplishment not only highlights his advanced technical skills but also his ability to deliver high-quality solutions independently, setting a high standard for the industry.

Chris played a pivotal role in the initiation and successful execution of the Oil Rationalisation project, a major endeavour that involved consolidating over 100 OEM lubricants. This extensive project aimed to streamline operations and optimize lubricant selection for a variety of assets. Chris’s work included a detailed assessment of existing lubricants, evaluating vendor performance metrics, and ensuring each lubricant met specific asset requirements.

His contributions were instrumental in refining the selection process, leading to the use of high-quality lubricants tailored to enhance equipment performance. This optimization significantly improved operational efficiency, reduced costs, and increased asset reliability. Chris’s strategic approach and meticulous attention to detail in the Oil Rationalisation project highlighted his commitment to operational excellence and delivered substantial benefits to the organisation.
